Loch Arthur Community was started in 1984, and a lot has been achieved since then. Outwardly, the evidence is there to see – new houses, renovations and extensions to the existing houses, new barns, an old mill converted into a Community Hall, a Creamery for our cheese-making, a thriving farm, and now a farm shop and café.
But what really matters is what these buildings have made possible in people’s lives, both for those of us who live here and for all those who have been connected to our growing Community. The positive influence spreads far beyond the physical boundary of the Community, just as the strength and health of Loch Arthur rely on the contributions of our many friends in the area. We are looking at ways of developing to include more people in the life of the Community.

All the developments we have achieved so far have depended on donations large and small. We are very grateful for all the support we have received and will continue to need such support into the future. Every step makes us stronger and helps us, gradually, to do justice to the full range of what Loch Arthur Community can offer.
